** This is a hand-dyed fabric. Please base your color selection on the DMC reference - not the picture - as all computer monitors, tablets, phones, etc ... interpret color differently and the image you are seeing on your device may not be an accurate depiction of the actual color. Pieces may vary from slightly lighter or darker and have more or less shading than seen in the image. Please note that not all fibers accept color the same - so a particular color in one trim or fabric might not be exactly the same shade in another trim or fabric.

We use 100% cotton Charles Craft and Zweigart Aida, 100% cotton Zweigart Evenweave and 100% Zweigart linen. Our base fabric is white or Antique White, depending on availability. Our fabric is cut to the requested size and then dyed to order. Shrinkage does occur so please consider this when calculating your needs. All of our hand-dyed fabrics are colorfast and can be washed.
Our shipping time varies depending on how busy we are. Our fabric is dyed to order and the processing time can be anywhere from 2-10 business days. We try to ship as quickly as possible and most orders ship within 3 days. If we are very busy (usually before holidays and after trade shows) I will update the shipping to reflect the delay. Please contact us if you are concerned about the actual shipping time and we will give you a more accurate time frame.
Dream Big Little Mermaid - the floss list is incorrect on some charts. Please use the following information: A is E3949, B is 793, C is 4030 and D is 3810. All are DMC colors.
Willamina's Woolens - the fabric color used in the model should read Ocean Traditional not Midnight.
Sunflower Street - for the letter P - the floss color should be 744
In some situations, we may be able to accomodate custom sizes. It will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact us for individual pricing. At this time, we are no longer doing custom colors.
Every computer, tablet, phone - represents color in a different way. Typically, this is no where near what the color actually looks like in person. Please do not base your fabric choice on the image you are seeing - for every listing, there is a DMC floss reference. Please use THIS information when deciding on a color for your project. But also remember that even this is just a reference. The hand-dyed fabric is just that - it is dyed entirely by hand - not mass produced in a factory some where. Each and every piece will be slightly different. We are also available for help and suggestions, please contact us and we will be happy to provide assistance.
There were two things we considered when experimenting with different dyeing techniques - the stiffness of the fabric that we wanted to use and the desire for a virtually wrinkle free product. After much experimentation, it became apparent that the traditional dip-dye technique would not work for us. We decided to go with a brush-on technique that results in a beautiful, muted finish with subtle shading. To achieve a wrinkle free product, the fabric is laid flat to dry. While either side may be stitched on, there is generally a right and wrong side. We roll and package the fabric with the "right" side out.
We ship on the same day that the shipping label is printed. We cannot control how long it takes for USPS or Fed Ex to get the item to you. Since Covid, there have been delays in customers receiving the orders. However, items are rarely actually lost in the mail. In the event that USPS marks an item as "in transit, arriving late" - we will not issue a refund or mail a new item out until at least 30 days have passed with out any updated tracking information. After 30 days, we will assume the item is truly lost in the mail and a new item will be shipped or a refund will be issued. In the event that USPS says an item has been delivered when it has not been - it is the buyers responsibility to contact USPS and file a claim for a lost item.
Because of the nature of these items, we cannot accept returns for:
- custom orders
- digital downloads
- "short cut" fabrics
- paper charts
- clearance or special buy items
HAND-DYED FABRIC - If you receive your fabric and the color or count is not suitable for your project, we will exchange the piece for another color or count at the same price point. There is no restocking fee for exchanges, but the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. If you would prefer a refund, a 15% restocking fee for each returned item will be subtracted from your purchase price before the refund is issued.
OTHER STUFF - Please see the list of items that are not returnable or exchangeable above. If you would like to return an allowable item, a 15% restocking fee per item will be subtracted from your purchase price before the refund is issued. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

I think this will be perfect. The amount of contrast is exactly what I envisioned. Thank you for working with me. One last question....I'd like to use Frixion pens to mark grid lines. Will this be a problem?
